The pilot phase of the project “Bios4you – Bio-Inspired STEM topics for engaging young generations” ended on 11 July: numerous students and professors had the opportunity to test the online platform, deepening the topic of climate change.
The Bios4you project (project number: 2019-1-DE03-KA201-060125, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme – KA2- Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices) aims to provide students with the essential information & knowledge to raise their environmental, social and health awareness, to connect STEM fields with human concerns on ecological, economic, and social systems, to inspire students, and young women in particular, into pursuing STEM-related careers and to increase the teacher’s professional development, digital skills and competencies.
The pilot activity was part of a workshop on circular economy and sustainability, held during the CEIPES event ‘CEIPES Summer is magic‘. Reflecting on the consequences of human behaviour on the environment, participants proposed actions to implement a sustainable lifestyle. The online platform was very popular, as was the in-depth module.
This event was very important to spread the results of the project and to make everyone aware of the importance of STEM subjects and biotechnology in daily life.
